Anushka To Act In A Senior Director's Comeback?

Anushka Shetty has been very choosy in her script selection, lately. She did not want to compromise on the quality of work she is looking for and that explains to us, why she did not accept a film in past two years except for Nishabdam.

The actress is in talks for several films but most importantly, she agreed to appear in a biopic of Carnatic Singer, Bangalore Nagarathnamma, says few reports.

She is showing interest in this biopic as she wants to give Kannada legendary singer and women's rights activist a tribute, it seems.

Singeetham Sreenivasa Rao, legendary director wants to make this movie in all South Indian languages and the actress showed interest to act in his direction, it seems.

Anushka's real name is Sweety Shetty and she is from a Kannada household. The actress feels like this is an opportunity to give it back to the people of Karnataka who love her unconditionally, it seems.

People Media Factory could bankroll the film. Writer Sai Madhav Burra is writing the script it seems. Official details about the project are still awaited.
