AP Govt's Move to bring Ticket Portal to be challenged in Court!

Tollywood faced a big blow after the Andhra Pradesh Government announced a new online booking portal to sell the tickets for the films in the state. The new portal is expected to enable the government to enjoy full control over ticket prices.
Now it is said that Andhra Pradesh might face some issues in implementing the new portal as the government has no role or involvement to play in the industry as same is the case in all the industries, a few industry sources said.
Since the film industries have started, the government has been staying away from the industry and the only involvement it has is by lending a helping hand to the industry by providing the facilities and other incentives.
As the collections earned by the ticket rates make the major source of income for the industry, the government wanting to claim control over the ticket sales will push the industry towards a big crisis and the exhibitors and distributors are reportedly not happy with the governmentâs decision.
The sources in the industry say that the move of the government is aimed at seeing that no irregularities take place in the sales of the tickets, the portal will result in nothing but a crisis-like situation.
Media reports say that the portal decision is likely to be challenged in Court as the exhibitors and distributors are in plans to take the legal route in going against the portal.
