Reminding The Same Movie Again

When Megastar Chiranjeevi wanted to make a comeback into the movies, so many top directors approached him with scripts. But Chiru showed interest towards A.R.Murugadoss's directed film Kathi only. The movie featured Tamil star hero Vijay in the lead role. V.V.Vinayak used the same story and made it into Khaidi number 150. The movie turned out to be an industry hit and topped the non-Baahubali list of Tollywood.
Khaidi number 150 story revolves around the people of Neeruru village who struggle for water. Coming to the matter, Nayanathara's upcoming movie is Aramm. The trailer of the movie is recently released. Interestingly the trailer is same as Kathi movie but with a lady version. Nayan is playing the role of District Collector in the film. The water problems, corporate companies tricks for water, corrupted government officials etc are the main concepts that are matching in both the movies. The audience who watched the trailer are commenting that the film is reminding Kathi. Deriving a new story from the existing story is agreeable but there is no need to use the same story over and over again.
Aramm movie is getting dubbed in Telugu with title Karthavyam. R.Ravindra under the banner of Treedent Arts is bringing the movie in Telugu. Gopi Nayanar is the director. Let's see if the movie survives at the box office or not.
