Are The Heroes Taking A Cut In Their Paycheques?
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 Jun 2020 6:42 AM GMTThere has been a lot of discussion going on around the high remunerations that our heroes take. The producer's guild is reportedly making a decision of cutting their remuneration. As per sources, new set of instructions will be laid from now on and 20-25 percent of remuneration of heroes will be reduced.
This is certainly a big decision as the heroes are used to taking huge money for their films and taking a cut will affect their stardom. Also, heroes are considered as the big force in Tollywood and it is to be seen how the producers convince them to reduce their remuneration. If this turns out well, the producers can even pressurize other artists and technicians too to take a cut in their paycheques.
But sources claim that a few members on the Guild are not happy with this decision as they feel cutting down the pay scale may not solve their problems entirely. The market value is completely different from before and things need to change and people need to adapt to the post Corona world. But on sure thing in all of this is that everyone is expected to take a cut in their remunerations so that the film industry can thrive during these tough times.
