Another legendary cricketer on silver screen

Currently, the trend of biopics is going on in Bollywood right now. The movies which are coming out as the biopic of sportspersons are turning out be sensational hits at the box office. The filmmakers are mainly focusing on how the sports people struggle to reach a position where they represent their own country and make the country proud and are including such points in the biopics.

Last year, Sushanth Singh Rajput came with the biopic of former Indian Cricket Team captain M.S.Dhoni with the title "M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story" and recorded the biggest hit of his career. Sachin Tendulkar also came out with his biopic "Sachin: A billion dreams" and gained a decent hit. Now the biopic of Legendary Allrounder Kapil Dev is going to start the shooting. Kabir Khan who did Bajarangi Bhaijaan and tube light movies is directing this film. However, Kabir is struggling to select a hero to play the lead role in the movie.

Initially, rumors came out that Hrithik Roshan and Ranveer Singh have been chosen. But now Kabir finalized Arjun Kapoor for Kapil's role. Kapil Dev played extraordinarily well and brought the World Cup to India in 1983. As per the news, the team is also in search of artists who can play the roles of other cricketers. The official details will get released on September 27th.
