Regional Cinema is badly affected with High Taxation in the form of Goods & Services Tax. Tamil Film Industry launched a massive protest by shutting down all the theaters in the state against 28% GST & 30% Local Body Tax.
Senior Hero Arjun warned High Taxation is scaring all the people dependent on Film Industry. The Action King expressed fears that Producers and Financiers won't come forward to invest in films if the situation doesn't change. 'Save Tamil Cinema,' he urges.
Tamil Nadu Distributors & Exhibitors have been actively participating in the ongoing protests. They plead AIADMK Government to take a call on the 'Double Taxation' at the earliest to save the Industry.
