As many as six Telugu films (Asura, Singham 123, Andhra Pori, Ranam 2, Toll Free No 143, Agni Sakshiga) hit the screens Today. Out of them, Only Asura, Singham 123 and Andhra Pori garnered the attention of film buffs.
Asura: A stylish thriller with solid performances, good twists - interval & climax and just around 2 hours run time.
Box Office Prospects: Good (Dominates in A Centres)
Singham 123: A spoof-based film which largely relies on Sampoornesh Babu's funny antics.
Box Office Prospects: Opened to housefulls in most of the major cities and towns but it's reach will be very limited.
Andhra Pori: A Teenage Love Story involving a Telangana Boy and Andhra Girl. It's a remake of Marathi flick 'Time Pass' which was highly successful. However, Makers failed to retain the soul of the original here and the sluggish pace adds to the worries.
Box Office Prospects: Poor
On a whole, 'Asura' emerges as this weekend's topper at the Box Office. Finally, A much needed success for Nara Rohit!
