Geetha Arts moved Hyderabad High Court alleging that Makers of Bollywood flick 'Raabta' has copied Telugu blockbuster 'Magadheera'. Much to the shock of Allu Aravind, An Author claims 'Magadheera' story was penned by him but not YV Vijayendra Prasad and he even sued the production house.

Novelist SP Chary claims 'Magadheera' is hugely inspired from his 1998 novel 'Chanderi'. He alleges that only the screen names of key characters have been changed but the rest is same. For example, Haradaul turns Harsha and Indumathi became Indu.

'Chanderi' is the story based on Two Lovers who kill self by jumping into a well 400 years ago in Orcha Kingdom of Madhya Pradesh. Their reincarnation happens after four centuries and that's how they unite again. The only difference between the novel & film - While Hero's Brother is Villain in 'Chanderi', Heroine's Relative plays antagonist in 'Magadheera'.

SP Chary's complaint with AP Film Chamber was completely ignored by its Members. Geetha Arts refused to offer Credits to the author and it isn't even willing to hold talks. The Novelist sued the production house under Copyright Infringement Act.
