Icon Star Allu Arjun and star director Sukumar's rustic action drama 'Pushpa â The Rise' turned out to be a huge blockbuster on a pan-Indian level. Jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamshetty Media, this movie struck gold at the box office. It minted over 300 crores and it got a share of over 100 crores in the Hindi market without proper promotions. Not just the trade pundits but the makers themselves were surprised with such a sensational response.
The songs became a rage and the mannerisms of Allu Arjun's Pushparaj character went viral that even celebrities started replicating it. Now, the awards are starting to arrive for 'Pushpa â The Rise' gradually. In the recently awarded 'Dada Saheb Phalke International Awards 2022', 'Pushpa' was given the Best Movie of The Year Award.
The film is a one-man show from Bunny and with the amount of love it received all across the country, the jury awarded 'Pushpa' in the Best Movie Of The Year Category. Though it is a small award compared to the biggies, it is the first award the team will be receiving which makes it very special. The experts are predicting that this is just a start as a lot of awards will be falling into Pushparaa's lap soon.
'Pushpa' is a film set in the backdrop of red sanders smuggling in the Seshachalam forest area. Bunny is seen as Pushparaj who starts from being a daily laborer and rises into the head of the red sanders smuggling syndicate. Rashmika played the heroine's role in this flick while Samantha pulled off some sultry moves in the blockbuster 'Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava' song. Malayalam star hero Fahadh Fasil played a crucial role in this film and his character is going to hold a lot of significance in the second part as well. Sunil, Anasuya, Ajay, Ajay Ghosh, Shatru and many others played key roles in this movie. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music while a lot of big names worked on this huge pan-Indian project.
