Baahubali 2 breaks Rajini's Record in Tamil Nadu

There is a strong perception that Tamilians wouldn't embrace dubbed films as much as they patronize straight Tamil movies. But, 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' proved this is just a myth.
17 Days Collections of 'Baahubali 2' in Tamil Nadu: Gross (Rs 106.5 crore) & Share (Rs 56.16 crore).
Except 'Enthiran' (Robot), No other Feature Film collected a Gross of Rs 100 crore in Tamil Nadu until recently. 'Baahubali 2' managed to achieve this feat within 16 days and created history by emerging as Highest Grosser ever in Tamil Nadu.
However, 'Enthiran' & 'Theri' (Vijay's Police) continues to hold the Top 2 Spots when it comes to the Distributors Share. While both these Tamil Flicks were offered Tax Exemption in Tamil Nadu, 'Baahubali 2' wasn't able to receive such a favour and it made a lot of difference to the final tally. Who knows, The Rajamouli-directorial might cross the share of these two blockbusters by the end of its full run.
