Pre-Release Business of Baahubali 2

When 'Baahubali: The Beginning' was released there was a talk that the movie it was a deficit release. There were some rumours at the time of release that the presenter of the film K.Raghavendra Rao was upset with the deficit release because the producers were his close relatives. Of course.. he must have been on cloud nine after the release.
Not only this, there were several other stories doing rounds in the Film Nagar that a buyer who was in a financial mess before the 'Baahubali' release got the rights of due to an old commitment. The situation has completely changed after the release and he came out of the financial crisis. Let us not do deeper in to these stories.. but have a look at the 'Baahubali: The Beginning' theatrical rights figures.

Ceded - 13 cr.
Vizag - 7 cr.
East Godavari - 5 cr.
West Godavari - 4.5 cr.
Guntur - 6 cr.

Nellore - 3.5 cr.
Karnataka - 12 cr.
Overseas - 11 cr.
Rest of India - 26 cr.
The situation is totally different from first part release and second part release. As first part became a blockbuster and created sensation across India, curiosity has raised on the second part. 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' rights have been sold for staggering prices. Popular producer and distributor Sai Korrapati has acquired theatrical rights for Ceded, Krishna, Vizag areas for fancy rates. When he was asked that "Did you watch at least some portion of the film ?".. he answered "Don't ask me that did I watch it or not.. I can tell you one thing.. Baahubali-2 is going to be a wonderful film and much better than first part". That's the confidence of a top producer.. so is the case with other buyers and distributors.

Ceded - 25 cr.
East - 11 cr.
West - 9.5 cr.

Total Pre Release business is Rs.130 cr. for the Two Telugu states.
