Radhika Apte feels 'Baahubali' has changed the perception of people on Regional Cinema. 'Regional Cinema should be at par with Bollywood. We can seen that happening now. Baahubali has been a game changer. Last year, Kabali broke few records. Even Marathi Films have been appreciated. Regional Films were screened at International Film Festivals. It's a welcome change,' she says.
The 'Legend' Actress points out how Bollywood Filmmakers & Actors are coming forward to associate with the best talent in Regional Cinema whenever they find quality content. She further adds, 'Even Regional Filmmakers are now focusing on multi-lingual releases & promoting their projects in new territories'.
According to Radhika Apte, Availability of content related to various languages on Digital Platforms came as a blessing in disguise for Regional Cinema. She believes Regional Cinema would keep exceeding the reach of Hindi Cinema just alike 'Baahubali' did.
