Double Hattrick for Maruthi

Despite opening to mixed talk, Brand Maruthi and Summer Season worked in favor of 'Babu Bangaram'. Although Distributors suffered minor losses, This Venkatesh and Nayantara starrer attained an Above Average status.

Total Production Cost of 'Babu Bangaram' stood at Rs 28 crore including promotions. In the full run, Rs 27.59 crore has been collected at the Box Office and Satellite Rights fetched Rs 6.5 crore. The overall revenue stood at Rs 34 crore excluding Audio and Hindi Dubbing Rights. 'Babu Bangaram' is the biggest solo earner of both Venkatesh and Maruthi.

With 'Babu Bangaram', Maruthi completed a Double Hattrick. He is one of the very few filmmakers who have achieved such feat. All of his previous films (Ee Rojullo, Bus Stop, Prema Katha Chitram, Kotha Janta, Bhale Bhale Magadivoy) were profitable ventures.
