The Karnataka Capital Bengaluru, Silicon Valley of India is struggling with the surge in the fresh Coronavirus. The constant rise in the Covid-19 clusters in the city is also worrying the health officials.

As a major area of concern, the count of active containment zones in Bengaluru had gone up to 12. Out of the 12 clusters, five clusters were identified by the authorities in the past 24 hours alone.

Bengaluru added not less than 925 fresh pandemic infections in the past 24 hours, while Karnataka registered as many as 1488 cases. Bengaluru is the major contributor of total cases in the state. The capital city accounts for over 70 percent of infections.

With the sudden surge in fresh infections, the authorities and the public started a blame game against each other. While the authorities are alleging public negligence, the public is blaming the authorities for not taking the required action.

The civic body, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike(BBMP) held a crucial meeting with the key officials and is expected to request the Karnataka government to reimpose a 50 percent occupancy rule outside.

Media reports claimed that the civic body is also expected to stress the closure of gyms, swimming pools, community halls in apartments, as well as capping the attendees' count for functions.
