Legendary Director Resigns! What For?

In June this year, Director Bharathiraja was elected as the chief of Tamil Film Directors Union (TANTIS) unanimously. The Legendary Filmmaker didn't take much time to offer his resignation to the Top Post. The reason he mentioned to step down is surprising not just to Industry Folks but also for general public.
Bharathiraja: 'I was unanimously elected as the President of the Directors Union in the general body meeting by Directors, Co-Directors and Assistant Directors without a democratic election. Realised the threat of getting appointed without an election and decided to step down'.
Generally, Anybody in the position of Bharathiraja would have felt happy getting elected unanimously. The Legendary Filmmaker, however, decided not to take the responsibility by looking at it from a different angle.
Elections for the remaining posts of Directors Association is scheduled to happen on July 14th. Probably, Election for President Post could be conducted on the same day.
