Big Troubles For Small Films!

Star hero films usually lock the festive dates like Sankranti, Dasara, Christmas, Summer season beforehand to utilize the opportunity and score big at the box-office. Small films do not get the chance of getting released on those dates. To avoid the clash, they hit the screens during unseason or at a time when no big films are releasing.
March is one such season where most of the youth stay away from the theatres to focus on their examinations. Films that get positive talk too do not get the deserved collections. But small filmmakers release their films during this time to have a free run. If the film gets a decent talk, they can sell the satellite and digital rights for good rates. The producers can recover the costs and sometimes even earn profits.
But the outbreak of Coronavirus this March led to a complete shut down of theatres till 31st. This is turning into big trouble for small films and its producers. They may not find release dates for the next two or three months as big films are line up for release. On the whole, Corona turned out to be a bane for small filmmakers.
