Bigg Boss in Hindi is run by Colors channel while in all other languages, Star India and Colors local language channels run the show with the producers who own the format.
Colors channel found great success ever since Salman Khan started hosting the show as his style of unapologetic humor and Bhai-giri worked big time for this show about human behaviour when they are contained in a big space with no contacts to outside world.
From 4th season, Salman Khan did not miss one season expect the 5th when briefly Sanjay Dutt got the opportunity to host.
Remuneration of Salman Khan from first stint has improved drastically as his popularity as a star kept growing too.
He started with 2 crores per episode and took 2.5 crores per episode next season. From 6th season, he has been constantly charging higher saying that he doesn't want to comeback, explicitly.
He took 5 crores per episode in 6th season, 5.5 crores in 7th, 8th and 8 crores per episode in 9th,10th seasons. From 11th he has been making deals per season.
He charged 11 crores per episode during 11th season and for 12th season he asked 12 - 14 crores per episode and the deal made him 300-350 crores for season.
Now, he might have a lady co-host but he will appear every weekend and he is charging 31 crores per those two episodes and he will get 403 crores for hosting 13 weekends.
If this season doesn't turn up as successful as previous one, Colors might have to go for a new host as Salman Khan seems to be getting more and more costly, with each season.
