Bigil Faces Copyright Issues From Telugu Director!
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 Oct 2019 12:00 PM GMTTamil star hero Vijay's Diwali release 'Bigil' is arriving with a lot of expectations. The trailer of the film creating records explains its craze. Directed by Atlee, 'Bigil' will have Vijay playing dual role. This much-anticipated film is now getting into some serious troubles.
Telugu film maker Nandi Chinni Kumar recently filed a copyright complaint on the film saying that this film has striking resemblance to his film 'Slum Soccer'. Chinni Kumar's film is reportedly based on the real life football player Akhilesh Paul and he says that he registered it in Telangana Cinema Writers Association long back.
Now, he filed a complaint in the association on the makers of 'Bigil' including director Atlee. He added that, he tried to get in touch with the makers but he didn't get any response from them. Interestingly, this isn't the first case on 'Bigil'. A copyright case was already filed by KP Silva and it is going on in Madras High Court.
Vijay's films are constantly getting into one or the other controversy. His 'Mersal' was got into chaos with BJP when there were dialogues criticizing the GST policy. Later, his 'Sarkar' too got into a mess because of some scenes and dialogues which triggered the Tamil Nadu's ruling party.
