Biopics Are Scaring Producers

Mahanati becoming a huge blockbuster made many in Telugu look at biopics and NBK's NTR biopic took the trend of announcing the films on big stars and legends a cool thing.
We have been listening about Yatra and NTR Mahanayakudu, the next films to come out. But NTR Kathanayakudu's disastrous result is making many nervous.
The amount it needs to re-create sets and the time period effect in VFX is huge and if the movie doesn't get at least 10 crores back, putting so much is difficult too.
Even in Hindi, Manikarnika became a flop and to add to it, Cheat India, Thackeray have also become flops. While there are few aspects to like in the films, majorly they are turning out to be propaganda pieces for actors or producers.
So, people are not showing much interest in these films. There are 25 biopics more coming out this year and if they don't perform, producers will cancel all biopics in planning.
