Bollywood Actress compares Hijab Controversy to Mahabharat!

The Hijab controversy erupted in Karnataka had led to protests not only in India but also in Pakistan. Muslim students have protested against the issue by holding rallies and sitting for protests.
To keep an end to the unrest, the Karnataka High Court had directed that religious dresses will not be allowed at educational institutions.
As the issue is still pending in the court, the celebrities are responding to the controversy. A Bollywood actress who has been a vocal supporter of Muslim students had drawn a comparison between the Hindu epic Mahabharat and the ongoing issue.
Though she did not take the name of Hijab or the controversy, the netizens believe that Swara Bhasker made the tweet for the Hijab controversy, which resulted in a few educational institutions getting closed for a few days.
In a tweet made in Hindi, Swara Bhasker had said that she remembered today what happened with Draupadi in Mahabharata.
"In Mahabharata, Draupadi's clothes were forcibly taken off and the responsible, powerful, law-makers sitting in the assembly kept watching. just remembered today," Swara Bhasker tweeted in Hindi.
