When 'Spyder' was at the planning stages, it was a Telugu-Tamil bilingal. The focus of Mahesh was more on capturing Kollywood market. But the situation has completely changed after the release of 'Baahubali: The Conclusion'. More than Kollywood market, Hindi market became a primary source of collections for 'Baahuabali 2'. This said to have changed the opinion of 'Spyder' makers on the Hindi version.
They are planning a big release in Hindi circuit and the makers are said to be already in talks with top filmmakers of Bollywood. It is known that Reliance Entertainment is the co-producer of 'Spyder' and they are actually planning to release the film in Hindi. But Murugadoss and Mahesh are keen to associate with a filmmaker like Karan Johar for a wider reach.
Surprisingly, Karan Johar who rarely tweets on South Indian films has tweeted on Spyder teaser yesterday.. he tweeted that "This is looking extremely intriguing!!! Can't wait to see more....all the best @urstrulyMahesh !! @ARMurugadoss". It seems he is also keen on associating with Mahesh film as the movie is an intelligent spy thriller which may very well struck chord with Bollywood audience.
Thanks to 'Baahubali' films, Prabhas achieved amzing fan following across the nation. It seems he has already cracked the Bollywood market. Even though Mahesh is popular across India for his handsome looks, he never tried his hand at Hindi. It's the right time for him to crack Bollywood nut with the help of intelligent diector like Muruga. Can Mahesh do it just like Prabhas ?
