Bollywood Star Bags His 4th Failure In 8 Months!

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar who delivered one hit after another till a few months back is now struggling to find success. He successfully delivered his fourth failure in the last eight months. He remade 'Gaddalakonda Ganesh' as 'Bachchan Pandey' which ended up as a massive failure at the box office.
He then came up with historical drama 'Prithviraj' which was very disappointing both critically and commercially. He arrived with 'Raksha Bandhan' in August but the film turned out to be disappointing too. All the three films brought a lot of losses to the buyers.
Now, his mystery thriller 'Cuttputli' came out on Disney + Hotstar this Friday. People who watched the original Tamil version and Telugu remake titled 'Rakshasudu' were very disappointed with Akshay's starrer. While the production values were good considering the fact that it is an Akshay Kumar film but the content looked monotonous and failed to impress many. This movie turned out to be his fourth failure within eight months.
Many are suggesting that Akshay Kumar needs to take a breather and analyze his script selection rather than picking up projects one after the other.
'Cuttputli' has Rakul Preet Singh playing the female lead. Ranjit M Tewari is directing this remake while Rakul's boyfriend Jackky Bhagnani is the producer. Aseem Arrora provided the screenplay and dialogues while Zeus Tanishk Bagchi gave the music. Rajeev Ravi is the director of photography while Chandan Arora is the editor.
