Bollywood trade: Opening day expectations on RRR

The mighty RRR is set to hit the silver screens on the 25th of this month. As of now, the advance bookings for the film in the North Indian circuit is yet to pick up the pace. But as the film gears up for release, the bookings are expected to get better.
As per the latest Bollywood trade analysts, RRR might collect in the range of Rs 20 crores nett on its opening day in the Hindi circuit. There are several factors attributing to the same.
The Kashmir Files, which released recently is faring exceptionally well in the North Indian circuit. The film is likely to cause a big dent to RRR in the Hindi speaking belt which will affect its box office prospects.
Also, Akshay Kumar's Bachchan Pandey which released last weekend has garnered a positive response from the audience. So this film will also eat into RRR's openings.
All these factors combined, RRR might collect in the range of Rs 20 crores in the North India circuit. If the film garners a unanimously positive word of mouth, then it can fare pretty well in the Hindi belt. So, a lot will depend on the content now.
In the Telugu states, RRR is expected to get off to a record breaking start in almost each and every circuit. It is expected to collect in upwards of Rs 25 crores in the Nizam region alone.
