Litmus test for Boyapati Srinu!

S.S.Rajamouli's Eega, Trivikram's A..Aa, V.V.Vinayak's Alludu Seenu have one thing in common, that is, they are litmus tests for the director's prowess to ignite a box office positive response with out big stars in their films. They proved their strengths and weaknesses and now, Boyapati Srinu needs to prove it with Jaya Janaki Nayaka. Till now, Boyapati never made a movie with an upcoming hero until now and what he has store for Bellamkonda Srinivas needs to be seen.
Distributors and Exhibitors have invested more than 31 crores in two Telugu states just on the name of Boyapati and if we add overseas and Karnataka rights too, then the total amounts to 34 crores. The movie has to collect at least a gross of 70 crores to be in profit zone. With the huge number of theatres and a long weekend of five days, the movie should be able to collect the amount needed provided it gets a positive word of mouth. All of this is in the hands of Boyapati Srinu and what is his real Box Office stamina will be declared by the film.
Boyapati Srinu worked with stars like Ravi Teja, Venkatesh, Balakrishna, Jr. NTR and Allu Arjun till now. He had to work around their image and even the half decent story can be become a huge hit due to their box office potential. So, can Boyapati prove that he is not dependent on Star Power for his film and that is just an added bonus? Well, we will know that on 11th of August for sure!
