'Brahmotsavam' is off to be a poor start at the Box Office in Telugu States, if no. of theaters, fixed hires and pre-release business is taken into consideration.
As per trade report, 'Brahmotsavam' was already declared as a disaster in Ceded region. In Andhra region, Collections weren't up to the mark and unfavorable weather also played a part along with poor Word-of-Mouth. Even though rest of the Telangana districts were ordinary, Share in Hyderabad were pretty good on Day 1. Over all, 'Brahmotsavam' Day 1 AP & Nizam share could be around Rs 13 crore.
In the full run, A share of close to Rs 75 crore has to be collected for achieving break-even. Poor WOM & Drop in Collections makes it look almost impossible. The actual potential of this family drama could be judged based on the revenue in the first Weekend.
Who has to be blamed for the negative result - Mahesh Babu or Srikanth Addala? Give it a thought!
