Can Addala Prove Himself Again With 'Narappa'?
By: Tupaki Desk | 19 July 2021 1:52 PM GMTVictory Venkatesh is coming with his intense action-thriller 'Narappa' on July 20th. In less than a few hours, this film is going to be streamed on Amazon Prime Video and the Telugu audience are eager to watch it. The film is a remake of Tamil movie 'Asuran' which was directed by Vetri Maaran who is known for making such intense films that wins a lot of critical acclaim.
But the makers surprised everyone by picking Sreekanth Addala to handle this remake. Anyone might know, Addala is a name that you associate with clean family films like 'Kotha Bangaru Lokam', 'SVSC' and 'Brahmotsavam'. But 'Narappa' is a movie which is filled with blood, violence and heavy emotions.
On top of that, he delivered a disaster like 'Brahmotsavam' in 2016 and it took nearly five years for him to recover from it. Speaking about it, Addala said, "A bad script always results in failure. We begin a film with an intention but sometimes, we may not execute the same. The same happened with Brahmotsavam. It's been 5 years since the film was released and there is no point in talking about it. We have to move ahead. I wasted a golden chance with Mahesh Babu."
But Venkatesh trusted him with 'Narappa' and the trailer looks quite promising. Let us find out how he has done in just a couple of hours. On the work front, he will be directing a film under Geetha Arts and he is also planning to launch his own production banner 'Srikanth Creations'.
