Can Akhanda turn tables for this yesteryear star?

Akhanda is the new Balakrishna-Boyapati Srinu film and the fans, trade circles are expecting the combination to roar at the box office. Movie is releasing on 2nd December and expectations are sky high.
Boyapati Srinu delivered a disaster with Ram Charan - Vinaya Vidheya Rama and a very weak film with Bellamkonda Srinivas - Jaya Janaki Ram. He needs a big blockbuster to hold his position as one of the top commercial directors of Telugu Cinema. Balakrishna's Simha propelled his stature as a star director even though he had hits like Bhadra and Thulasi before.
Post Simha, Legend cemented his position as one of the top commercial directors and he went to touch heights with Sarrainodu. Now, he needs Akhanda to repeat Legend and Simha magic at the box office.
More than him, actor Srikanth needs this film to become a huge success. Jagapathi Babu after being lost in starring game as a lead actor in Telugu Cinema, he found his mojo as co-lead and supporting actor with Legend. He turned into a much praised star performer with that film and now, he has become a must addition for many big films.
Srikanth completed 125 films as lead actor and he has never been shy about doing co-lead roles in big star films like Shankardada MBBS, Sarrainodu. In Sarrainodu, he turned into a character actor by accepting "Babai" to hero role.
Later, he turned into negative lead in the film Yuddham Sharanam but that did not do any box office magic for him. He started his career as a negative lead and hence, going back to those characters is not hard for him.
But a film has to succeed and people should praise him like how Jagapathi Babu received in Legend. If that happens for Srikanth too, then he can be jubilant and start his second innings while promoting his son, Roshan Meka as next generation lead actor.
Akhanda trailer had him, Jagapathi Babu in important roles but Srikanth looked to have taken mighty villainous role. Even villain character in Sarrainodu gave great recognition for Adi Pinisetty. Can Akhanda repeat the magic?
