Kajal Agarwal is in the film industry for the last 12 years as a top heroine. In all these years, she was confined to glam doll roles which have more to do with her looks rather than talent. She never got roles that challenged her and people too got used to seeing her just as a pretty lady who appears minutes before a song and vanishes after that.
But, ace director Shankar offered her a role with substance in 'Indian 2'. Sources say that she will be seen as an 85-year-old lady alongside a 90-year-old Kamal Hassan. She needs to spend hours on the prosthetic makeup which she has never done before. It will be interesting to see how this gorgeous lady looks when she goes completely de-glam for this magnum-opus. Can she pull this off convincingly? Will fans accept her in this role? These are the questions popping in everyone's minds now.
'Indian 2' is the sequel of 'Indian' which was a blockbuster in 1996. Shankar is directing this film after an ambitious '2.0' and making it on a very grand scale. The shooting of the film is going at a brisk pace and it is expected to hit the screens in the second half of 2020.
