Can Love Story Hit Top Gear Again?

Starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles, Love Story got off to a bright start at the box office and it posted excellent box office revenues in the opening weekend. However, due to the unexpected rains in Hyderabad and the customary flood-like situation on the roads, people didn't step out to watch the film in theatres in big numbers. So, there was a noticeable drop in the film's collections in the opening week.

Tha said, Love Story now looks all set to overhaul the lean phase it had faced at the box office earlier this week. The film is now on course to register a largely fruitful opening weekend, which the makers believe, will boost the overall box office revenues of the Sekhar Kammula directorial. Love Story is said to be registering very impressive ticket bookings this weekend and at this rate, the Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer will have a rewarding weekend at the box office in its second week.

Sekhar Kammula's films are known to perform exceedingly well at the box office in the long run and the supremely impressive revenues posted by his previous film, Fidaa proves the same. Sekhar is now hoping that Love Story also will have a fruitful long run at the ticket counters.

Love story banks on the sensible narration from Sekhar Kammula and excellent performances from the lead pair Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. The duo make a great on-screen pair and they deliver exquisite performances. Also, the chartbuster audio album and the equally impressive background score from Pawan CH have struck a chord with the Telugu audience already.

Now the big question is, can Love Story hit the top gear again after a drop in the collections in the weekdays? The bookings for the weekend suggest the same. However, the film might face some competition from Sai Dharam Tej's Republic which is releasing on the 1st of October. But the film, being a political thriller caters to a different section of the audience. So, there won't be a direct clash between Love Story and Republic at the box office.
