Can Maruthi's hero succeed this time at least?

The theatrical trailer of 'Palasa 1978' was released recently and critics praised it for the different content, unlike the routine stuff we get every weekend. The film's lead actor Rakshit who is the Managing Director of the renowned sweet shop 'Sweet Magic' which has branches all over the Telugu speaking states. This isn't his first film. He debuted in 'London Babulu' which was produced and supervised by Maruthi. Sadly, this film failed at the box-office.
With his first attempt proving to be unsuccessful, he chose a different path this time. He went for a completely rugged look in 'Palasa 1978'. The trailer generated good buzz but the timing of the release is off. Releasing on March 6th is probably not a great idea as February and March are considered as a dry season for film releases. It is a risk to release films during the month where students will be busy with their semesters and annual examinations.
It is a big challenge to bring people into theatres at this time. Films with good content also fail during these months and we need to see how 'Palasa 1978' team overcomes this obstacle.
