Energetic hero Ram Pothineni bounced back with the success of 'Ismart Shankar'. He is hoping to follow it up with a few more hits and enter the top league. This is the reason why Ram is choosing safe scripts and directors. He is currently working under the direction of Kishore Thirumala for 'RED' which is a remake of Tamil film 'Thadam'. it is a psychological thriller. The combo of Kishore Thirumala and Ram gave films like 'Nenu Sailaja' and 'Vunnadhi Okkate Zindagi' in the past.
Believing in him once again, Ram handled the remake job to the 'Chitralahari' director. This is the first time that Ram is doing a psychological thriller and few are saying that it is a big risk for his career. During some previous interviews, Ram said that success comes to you easily if you can satisfy the B&C centers but the real question is, can a different film like 'RED' impress the masses? Ram got a huge boost with 'ismart Shankar' and following it an offbeat script may affect his fortunes at the box-office.
