Out of all the heroes who entered Tollywood through the Akkineni family, it is Sumanth's career that never took off despite a lot of promise. He had some good movies like 'Satyam', 'Godavari', 'Golconda High School' and 'Malli Raava' but he failed to become a star with a good market. His recent films have failed to get any recognition from the public. But he has a chance to revive his career with 'Sita Ramam'.

He is played a crucial role in this film and his character is named Brigadier Vishnu Sharma. His role's look has been revealed a few days back. His makeover is quite astonishing. This hero from the Akkineni clan was mostly seen in classy roles but he is looking quite intense with a stern look on his face. He is sporting a handlebar mustache and the military look suited him quite well. The poster raised expectations over his character. We don't know whether his role helps the movie's fate or not but it has succeeded in showcasing Sumanth in a complete new avatar in which the audience never imagined him.

He may turn into an actor who plays key roles in big films and 'Sita Ramam' may definitely be the first step in this new journey. There are reports that he already got two offers and one of them is from a big banner. Let us wait and see what decision Sumanth takes.

'Sita Ramam' will be released worldwide on 5th August in theatres. The movie will have a simultaneous release in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam languages. The film features a big list of noted actors like Gautam Menon, Prakash Raj, Tharun Bhascker, Shatru, Bhoomika Chawla, Rukmini Vijay Kumar, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore and many more apart from the lead actors.
