It is well-known that Ram Pothineni is currently working on his 19th film and it is a Telugu-Tamil bilingual. Happening beauty Krithi Shetty will be seen romancing the 'ismart' hero while handsome and talented Aadi Pinisetty is the antagonist. Ram will be playing the role of a powerful police officer for the first time in his career and there are a lot of expectations on this film.
The makers announced that the title of this film is 'Warrior' and it is directed by Lingusamy. This crazy director is known for his super hit commercial entertainers like 'Pandem Kodi', 'Awaara', 'Run', 'Settai' (original version of 'Tadakha') and others. He has a lot of craze in Tamil and working under his director is a huge plus for Ram. But it a risk at the same time as the star director is going through a rough patch.
His last two outings turned out to be very disappointing. He made 'Sikander' with Suriya and 'Pandem Kodi 2' with Vishal. Both of them were released with massive expectations but they failed to meet them. These movies did not perform well in Telugu and Tamil too. He was also involved in some financial issues.
He is aiming to give a perfect comeback with Ram's 'Warrior'. If the film works, it is great for everyone but it may destroy the dreams of Ram getting a market in Tamil Nadu in case the movie tanks at the box office. Hope that Lingusamy gets back on the success track.
Devi Sri Prasad is composing music for this film while Srinivasa Chitturi is the producer.
