Can This Pattern Change After The Lockdown?

We may say that content is more important than anything else and directors should not force unnecessary characters into the script. But an average commercial cinema with all the masala elements earns more than a film with high-quality content. A film with a heroine beside a hero with some good songs mints more money. Even with a good role or just a glam doll role, heroines are one of the biggest crowd pullers.

They are going to play a major role in bringing people to the theatres after the lockdown is lifted. They are the key to entertain the mass audience, frontbenchers or the silent class audience. That is why a film with glamorous heroine works well at the box-office in comparison to the film with good content without commercial elements.

Another thing is that having a heroine's cut out on the poster helps a lot in attracting the masses and this is one of the major principles of film publicity. Despite knowing this, many senior producers release the hero's solo posters just to satisfy the ego of the heroes. It is better if they stop this after the lockdown is lifted as pulling crowds into the theatres is going to be a very tough task.
