Case Booked Against Boney Kapoor

A Person by name Praveen Shyam Sethi filed a police complaint against Boney Kapoor, Mustafa and Pawan Jangid for allegedly duping him on the pretext of investing in the Celebrity Premier League (CLP) tournament. FIR was registered in this regard at the Pratap Nagar Police Station in Jaipur.
The Complainant hails from Jagatpura Area in Jaipur. He accused the Trio of cheating and others to the tune of Rs 2.5 crore.
In his complaint, Mr.Sethi mentioned: 'I met Pawan Jangid through a Common Friend in 2018. Pawan Jangid told Me that he is the partner of Boney Kapoor and Mustafa in the Celebrity Premier League. Me and My Friends paid Rs 2.5 crore to Sethi hoping to see good returns. In October last year, I met Boney Kapoor at a hotel in Jawahar Circle. The Producer assured double profit on investment in the cricket league during this meeting'.
FIR was filed under Sections 420 (Cheating), 406 (Criminal Breach of Trust) and 120-B (Criminal Conspiracy) of IPC. Boney Kapoor is yet to respond on the case filed against him.
