Case booked on Jabardasth Venu

Acting on the complaints filed by Goud caste association leaders, Hyderabad Police have booked cases on popular comedian Venu, popular as Jabardasth Venu, for allegedly insulting the sentiments of Goud community by portraying the working-class women of Goud women in a derogatory way. He was booked on sections 323 and 506.
Earlier in the day, some unidentified persons who were to be believed as leaders of Goud caste association have assaulted Venu at Film Nagar, after which he was admitted in hospital. Police have also booked cases on attackers of Venu after taking one person into custody.
