Star Comedian absconding to escape arrest

Tamil Star Comedian Santhanam is in news for all the wrong reasons. A Criminal Case was booked against for allegedly assaulting a Realtor and a Lawyer over a property dispute.
Sometime ago, Santhanam collaborated with Shanmugasundaram to construct a Function Hall near Kundrathur. The Comedian paid certain amount to his Partner as his share. Due to the poor progress of the construction work, Santhanam demanded Shanmugasundaram to return the amount he offered to him. But, Only a part of the amount he paid was returned so far.
On October 9th, Santhanam and his Manager Ramesh went to Shanmugasundaram's Office in Valasaravakkam to settle the issue. At that time, The realtor's friend Prem Anand who is a BJP Leader & Lawyer was in the office. An argument between both the parties led to a physical assault. Santhanam, Shanmugasundaram and Prem Anand suffered injuries. A case under sections 324 (Voluntarily causing hurt), 294-B (Making lewd comments) and 506(1) (Criminal Intimidation) of IPC has been booked against Santhanam. The comedian has been absconding since then.
Santhanam moved Madras High Court seeking anticipatory bail. 'I am innocent and a law abiding citizen. A false complaint has been registered against Me,' he says.
