Cancer has always been a deadly disease and the word will itself instill fear among the people. Though it is a dangerous disease, one can fight cancer with the help of modern-day medication. Several celebrities fought with cancer and emerged as winners.
Senior actress Gautami suffered from cancer a few years ago. She never lost the courage in her fight though she was also having issues in her personal life and career then. She is hale and healthy now. Another heroine Manisha Koirala was a dream girl for the 90's youth. She had to battle with cancer a few years ago and her strong will bailed her out of the disease. Mamata Mohandas was also suffered from cancer and she had successfully fought with it. She revealed in a past interview that she was diagnosed with cancer during the filming of Nagarjuna film 'Kedi'. She said that Nagarjuna gave her moral support when she got depressed.
Sonali Bendre recently revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer and she said that she will fight with it with courage. Sportspersons like Yuvraj Singh, Imran Khan also won the battle against cancer.
Legendary ANR also suffered from cancer in the later stages of his life. He could not fight with the disease as his body could not support him due to old age. But still, ANR attended the shoot of 'Manam' while he was suffering from the disease giving an inspiration to everybody that cancer can't take away the moral strength of a person.
