Padmavati now Padmavat, 5 Changes - No Cuts!
By: Tupaki Desk | 31 Dec 2017 4:13 AM GMTCentral Board of Film Certification (CBFC) suggested five modifications to the much-awaited flick 'Padmavati'. 'Only Five Modifications were recommended. There willn't be any cuts,' confirms CBFC Chairman Prasoon Joshi.
Reportedly, Censor Board want change in the title to 'Padmavat'. A disclaimer to be included saying the period film doesn't guarantee historical accuracy. A second disclaimer should be displayed making it clear that the movie neither approve the practice of Sati or tries to glorify it. Few misleading references to historical spots must be changed.
Prasoon Joshi defended suggesting change in the title saying Makers claimed the fictional poem 'Padmavat' was a creative source for the movie.
A special panel constituted by CBFC, that include historians, has reviewed 'Padmavati'. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Producer has okayed the modifications. The film which was supposed to release on December 1st would now hits the screens in the New Year.
