Censor Board Officer Arrested In Bribe Case

Of late censor board members hitting the headlines for bad reasons.Many of the film makers criticizing the behavior of board members.one of the censor board member arrested by police in an alleged bribery case on Monday.
The CBI arrested Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) CEO Rakesh Kumar for demanding a Rs 70,000 bribe to clear a film from Chhattisgarh.
Police said that Rakesh have demanded the money from the producer and asked his agents to collect the money.Police caught Mishra and Jaiswal who were acting on behalf of Kumar. CBI officials said they had been receiving information from Bollywood makers about bribe demands by Kumar
The CBI had conducted search on Kumar's residence and had recovered Rs 10.50 lacks cash, gold jewellery and property documents.Kumar, who has been booked under sections of Prevention of Corruption Act, will be produced in the CBI court Tuesday. Kumar took charge as the board's CEO in January and he sis a 1997-batch Indian Railway Personnel Service officer.
