Censor Horrors: 48 Cuts For Nawazuddin Film!

Censor Board of Film Certification(CBFC) under the leadership of Pahlaj Nihalani is turning out to be a nightmare for filmmakers who make bold films. The number of cuts they are suggesting to some of the Bollywood films is increasing with the each passing day. It is to be remembered that they have suggested 94 cuts to 'Udta Punjab' sometime back creating a sensation. The makers had to approach revising committee later for release without cuts.

Coming to the present, Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer 'Babumoshai Bandookbaaz' was suggested 48 cuts by the Censor Board when they went for certification. The film has already become a talking point ever since the trailer released. The intimate scenes between Nawazuddin and leading lady Bidita Bag have grabbed the attention of the audience.

The makers have two options to proceed further. They have to approach either revising committee or go with the 48 cuts. One would wonder what will be left in the film after 48 cuts. Netizens are also expressing the same opinion in the social media platforms.
