Bollywood Actor Clarifies On Receiving Y Category Security

The farm laws that Government introduced recently have been opposed by the farmers across the country and most of them have been participating in the peaceful protests demanding the centre to withdraw them. A lot of celebs supported the farmers' agitation including Diljit Dosanjh, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Zeeshan Ayyub to name a few.
However, some came in support of the government. Sunny Deol, who happens to be a member of the ruling party in the country, has tweeted in support of the farm laws recently. With this, several media reports claimed that the Centre has provided Y category security to Deol comprising of 11 personnel, including two commandos after he supported the government.
The actor and MP have now dismissed all the speculations in a series of tweets. He said that he has been given Y-plus security from July 2020.
Sunny Doel wrote, "I have been provided with this security since July 2020. An attempt has been made to link this security provision to the ongoing farmers' movement which is wrong."
He further requested the media colleagues to verify the facts before publishing any news.
