Chakri Is My Soulmate - RP Patnaik
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 Dec 2017 10:05 AM GMTRP Patnaik comes across as one of the most genuine and friendly persons in the Industry, with low animosity. He seems to have absorbed all the changes in fame and life, as part and parcel of being in the business. He gave an interview where he opened up about competition and friendship, he enjoyed with his fierce competitor and friend, Chakri.
Music Composer Chakri, is one of the best composers of folk and melody in Telugu Cinema, during his prime. He used to be fat but his voice suited for many heroes and he is the person behind energetic albums of Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi, Shivamani, Neninthe, Idiot, Satyam, Avunu Valliddaru Isthapaddaru and many more. But the musician died early in his life, due to obesity and RP Patnaik too exclaimed the same.
He said, "I did not lose a friend, I lost a soul mate when Chakri died. We never felt like we are competing but used to give each other good compliments about our respective works. He used to love me as a person and I enjoyed him company more than anyone. I noticed him not taking care of his body and warned him about it. He somehow did not care about it and I took things into my hand, pushed him to use medical help to reduce but he never listened to me completely. I got to know about a procedure in Singapore and asked him to go there. He said, he would for the first time and when I further insisted, he said he has many works. I offered him help and said that he should first get fit. Before, I could further convince him, the time has passed by and we lost a good soul!"
