Chalapathi Rao: Tollywood's Famous Villain and Character Artist!

Making the year even worse another ace actor Chalapathi Rao passed away today due to a cardiac actor. He is 79 years old when he passed away.
The actor made a debut in films with the cult classic Gudachari 116 released in 1966. The superstar Krishna starrer gave the much-needed start as an actor and he continued it with Sakshi which is also a Krishna film. He started his career as a character actor and became a popular villain.
From the 60s to almost early 90s Chalapathi Rao became one of the popular villains in the Tollywood film industry. Across languages, he appeared in over 1200 films and he created a niche for himself as an ace actor in the industry.
Chalapathi Rao acted with the first generation of actors like NTR, ANR, and next-generation actors like Krishna and Krishnam Raju. The ace actor also worked with Nandamuri Balakrishna, Megastar Chiranjeevi, King Nagarjuna, and Victory Venkatesh. He also worked with the current happening stars.
He has a special bonding with the late NTR and shares a good rapport with the Nandamuri heroes. Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna fondly calls him Babai as he worked with his father and had a good bonding with NTR.
He was last seen on the silver screen in the Akkineni family multistarrer Bangarraju. Chalapathi Rao also ventured into the OTT space and appeared in a web series titled Chadarangam. His character’s name in the web series is Guru Murthy.
Chalapathi Rao became a producer also and bankrolled as many as seven films. In his first film as a producer he cast Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role and he also bankrolled a film starring Jagapathi Babu.
KaliyugaKrishnudu,Kadapareddamma,Jagannatakam, PellanteNurellaPanta,Presidentigari Alludu, Ardharatri Hatyalu, and Raktham Chindina Raatri are his projects as a producer.
