Chalapathi Rao blames RRVC Dialogue
By: Tupaki Desk | 23 May 2017 9:07 AM GMTVeteran Actor Chalapathi Rao's lewd remark on Women at the audio launch of 'Ra Randoi Veduka Chudham' didn't go down well with the people.
When the Female Anchor asked if what Naga Chaitanya says in the trailer 'Ammayilu Manasanthiki Hanikaram' is true, Chalapathi Rao took the mike and said: 'Ammayilu Manasanthiki Hanikaram Kadu Kani…Pakkaloki Panikostharu'. A visibly stunned Female Anchor went back to the Stage immediately. But, Anchor Ravi lauded the Actor saying he has given a superb answer.
Women Organisations have staged a protest in front of Jubilee Hills Police Station over the derogatory remark. A written complaint has been given by Bhumika Foundation President Satyavathi.
Finally, Chalapathi Rao issued a clarification through a video message posted on his Facebook page. He defended his statement saying, 'It pained Me that none has condemned the dialogue 'Adavallu Manasanthiki Hanikaram'. That's why I had made such a statement! Neither did I marry again nor had affair with another other woman though my wife died 40 years ago. Worked with several actresses and women artistes in my five decades long career. I couldn't understand why the statement issued by me has been blown out of proportion. Don't look at the comment as a Double Meaning one. Disgusting comments were posted on Social Media. I won't hurt anyone and willn't tolerate if anyone hurts Me. I am apologizing to those who were hurt by my comment,' he told.
