Everyone is appreciating the decision of exempting tax for 'Gautami Putra Shatakarni' movie. No one has doubts regarding this tax exemption, reason known to all. Even though the orders are not passed, there is no need to worry..because it is just a formality Meanwhile Telangana Chief Minister KCR took a decision of exempting the tax for Shatakarni. Even Balayya personally met KCR and thanked him for his kind gesture. KCR is getting apreciation from every corner, as he did not think of any other aspect other than Telugu history while exempting tax to Shatakarni.
When it comes to Andhra Pradesh, we need to discuss about the injustice done to another film. That film is 'Rudhramadevi'. It is also a historical film. Gunasekhar made this lady oriented movie facing so many hardships. We can not treat Rudhramadevi as Telangana lady as she ruled Orugallu. There is no reason why Andhra Pradesh government denied tax exemption for this film. When someone makes a movie on a couragious lady in the history, there is no need to attach regionality to that film. But Chandrababu did not accpet the request of Gunassekhar.
If Chandrababu could have been considered Guna's request, Guna would have been in the safe zone commercially. But he got huge relief through tax exemption in Telangana. Had Andhra government exempted the tax for Rudhramadevi, Rudhramadevi would have reached break even. Coming to the present, If Chandrababu exempts tax for Shatakarni, it can be understood that injustice meted out to Rudhramadevi. If he doesn't exempt tax for Shatakarni then there is no injustice has been done to Rudhramadevi.
