Now, He is testing his luck as a Director by casting Sushanth in the lead role. 'Chi La Sow' Promos & Akkineni Family Promotions build the buzz around this feel-good entertainer. Will this flick change the fortune of Sushanth?
Synopsis:
Arjun (Sushanth) who belongs to an Upper-Middle Class Family is least interested in marriage. On the other hand, Anjali (Ruhani) have plans to get married. Arjun meets Anjali due to the pressure from his Parents but she bids goodbye upon knowing he isn't ready for marriage. This is where the story takes a turn with Arjun getting attracted to Anjali. How did Arjun woo Anjali to make her his life-partner forms rest of the take!
Performances:
Sushanth has undergone a complete makeover for 'Chi La Sow'. He did justice to the boy-next-door role and appears more like a character rather than a hero here. Deserves praise for accepting such a role inspite of knowing how dominating the Female Lead can be.
Ruhani Sharma steals the show. Though her look is very simple, She did perform brilliantly in the most crucial role.
Rohini leaves her mark as Heroine's Mother. Vennela Kishore entertains with his superb comic timing. Anu Haasan as Hero's Mom is alright. Rahul Ramakrishna, Vidya and Jayaprakash have done well.

Music composed by Prashanth Vihari generated a good feel. Composition of the Melody Song is so nice. Background Score is so pleasing. Camera Work by Sukumar is top class. Production Values are fine. Rahul Ravindran made use of the limited budget so effectively. He showed his true calibre as a Writer. As Director, Rahul does a good job but lethargic pace in the only concern.
Analysis:
Achieving success with films made with wafer-thin storyline, arresting presentation & limited budget in the latest trend. That's how 'Kshanam', 'Pelli Choopulu' and 'Mental Madhilo' were made. 'Chi La Sow' falls in the same category. This is the story that starts and end in a span of 24 hours. Rahul Ravindran showed how good he is as a Writer & Director making use of limited resources so well.
'Chi La Sow' have a simple story which is based on how marriage has become a big thing for present generation. It's been made with the Characters which we could find in our day-to-day life. People could easily relate to the dialogue version & scenes. Viewers were engaged with feel-good moments & heart-touching emotions. You won't find much melodrama but practicality is evident in the scenes.
Director established the characters of Lead Pair & situations they were in so convincingly. The backstory of Heroine is heart-touching and it's a crucial episode in the movie. Introduction of Hero-Heroine and their Conversations is what audience get to see in the First Half. They would step out of the closed environment in the latter half. The track of Thief-Murder-Police is entertaining. And not to forget the role played by Vennela Kishore in lifting the mood with his comic timing.
Slow-Paced Narration is the biggest drawback of 'Chi La Sow'. Few scenes are stretched and repetitive. Conflict point should have been much stronger or bigger. The role of Heroine has been etched out so well. Director should have focussed more on Hero as well to increase the depth. Overall, This is a feel-good film which appeals to the class audience.
