For her various talks on twitter on various issues including that of Jallikattu in the recent times and other social issues, singer Chinmayi often gets threats on the social networking site.
Recently this singer has received death threats and rape threats on twitter for expressing her opinion. Some users used lines like "You need to be raped ...", "I'll throw acid on your face", "I'll make sure you never sing again". She says these threats have shaken her and scared for life.
As she reported to twitter, the twitter folks are not responding and hence she started this online campaign #RapeThreatsNotOk to make sure such accounts are shut down.
