Chinna Babu Disappoints @BO

Tamil hero Karthi enjoys a good popularity among the Telugu audience. Along with his Tamil dubbed films, his performance in 'Oopiri' has impressed the Telugu audience. Sharing screenspace with senior star Akkineni Nagarjuna has made him closer to Telugu audience.
But the box office performance of Karthi's recent release 'Chinna Babu' is quite disappointing. The movie released along with two other Telugu films 'RX 100' and 'Vijetha'. The hype of on bold & youthful film 'RX 100' has impacted the other two films and the routine stuff of 'Chinna Babu' couldn't compete it at the box office. 'Chinna Babu' is grossed Rs.1 crore share on the first day with a gross of Rs. 1.8 crores in the Telugu states.
Surprisingly, it is less than the first day collection of his last film 'Khakee'. The first day collection of 'Khakee' was Rs. 1.2 crores with Rs2.1 crore crores gross. It is interesting to see whether movie collections will pick up during the weekend or not.
