Amid nationwide lockdown, all the film shootings and releases are abruptly stalled till further notice from the authorities.
The filmmakers are desperately looking towards the relaxation dates to undergo the film works.
Meanwhile, the makers have concentrated on the internal works of the films. Some films have suspended at the promotion stage, some are at final schedules. So, they are planning the release dates to avoid competition with the other movies.
We know there are a bunch of movies ready to hit the theatres once the lockdown is lifted. In order to get the upper hand, the makers of each movie are planning the safe dates which get them profits.
Due to the lockdown enforced, Rajamouli's magnum opus RRR may not reach the deadline of January. Even if the lockdown is lifted, the film needs six months of time to wrap the promotions.
Now it became an advantage for some small films and medium-range films. Since Rajamouli's RRR may not be in the race for Sankranti, several films are planning for Sankranti release. Among them, Chiranjeevi's Acharya is also in the list of Sankranti release. For this, director Koratala Siva is planning things in a way that film will hit the screens for January 2021.
